Ask Sponsored Search Listings Billing Support
A funny thing happened not to long ago. Right after I complained to Wells Fargo that Ask Sponsored search had been billing my card without my permission, Ask took away the ability to do automatic billing for small budgets.
What had happened is that I had a small campaign set up, $10 a day for a client. It turns out they were only actually using less than $5 a day, but Ask was billing the card the full $10 a day and saving the money for future use.
I hadn't agreed to this, I had only agreed to pay what I was using for the client. So rather than waste my time with customer support, I just complained to Wells Fargo, who apparently took my complaint seriously because after a few weeks, all my extra money was returned.
Coincidentally, this coincided with Ask taking away the ability to do automatic credit card billing for small clients. Being the ego-maniac that I am, I like to think it is all because of me. =) (really trying to work on the ego maniac thing so I guess I should say it probbably not because of me)
Actually, that made my life more difficult so it is more like =/ since now I have to call them and talk to them on the phone. If you've called customer support for any of the major search engines, you know that isn't always a pleasant experience.
Speaching of non pleasant experiences, even trying to find out how to contact support is a pain in the butt most of the time for the sponsored search engines.
