SEO Quake SEO Plugin will Slow Your Roll

SEO Quake is a great SEO tool, but it will slow your internet browsing down considerably in it's Firefox version, although the Google Chrome version seems to be a bit quicker. There is also a beta version available for Opera.  However, every time I have used the Firefox version, I have noticed a slowdown immediately after installation.  Therefore, I have not used it in my primary browser.

That being said, I do think it is a great tool.  In fact, I usually create and keep it as an active, or installed but inactive plugin.  I usually use the Firefox version, as chrome is my primary browser of choice, and I therefore like to keep chrome running at top speed.  I then use Firefox for quick SEO assessments with SEO quake and other SEO plugins tools for your browsers.

 SEO quake is available for both Firefox and Chrome.  Here is a list of it's possible features, some of which you can disable and enable to customize your desired use.

  • SEO Quake for Google
    • The SEO plugin shows the Google Page Rank of current page.
    • The SEO plugins shows the Number of indexed Google pages. Google version.
    • The SEO plugin shows Number of links in Google, pointing to the current page. 
    • The SEO plugin shows Date of current Google cache.
  • SEO Quake for Yahoo
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of indexed Yahoo pages.
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of links according to Yahoo, pointing to the current page.
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of Yahoo indexed links, pointing to the current domain. Link domain (LD) operator finds pages linking to domain, as opposed to link which finds references to a single page.
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of links, pointing to the current domain (2-level domain). Linkdomain2 (LD2) operator finds pages linking to an entire domain, as opposed to link domain (LD) which finds references to a current domain (subdomain for example). Yahoo version.
    • The SEO plugin shows the domain presence in the Yahoo Directory.
  • SEO Quake for MSN/Bing
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of indexed pages . MSN version.
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of links, pointing to the current page. MSN version (Except links from concerned domain).
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of links, pointed to the current domain. Link domain (LD) operator finds pages linking to domain, as opposed to link which finds references to a single page. MSN version.
    • The SEO plugin shows the number of links, pointing to the current domain (2-level domain). Linkdomain2 (LD2) operator finds pages linking to an entire domain, as opposed to link domain (LD) which finds references to a current domain (subdomain for example). MSN version.
  • SEO Quake for Yandex, a Russian search engine.
    • The SEO plugin displays The Yandex Rank of current selected page.
    • The SEO plugin displays Number of indexed pages in Yandex.
    • The SEO plugin displays Number of links, pointing to the current page in Yandex search engine.
    • The SEO plugin displays A domains presence in the Yandex Directory.
  • SEO Quake for Rambler, another Russian search engine.
    • The SEO plugin displays Number of indexed pages in the Russian Rambler search engine.
    • The SEO plugin displays Domain presence in the Rambler top 100 catalog.
  • SEO Quake displays Domain presence in the Dmoz Directory.
  • SEO Quake displays Traffic estimation index.
